Can anyone give me an example of an account that should have internal type of consolidation and why? I have read on the internal types but confused on internal type consolidation. thanks

A consolidated account just shows the total amount of all children accounts.

If you have two companies, and want to show Expenses for both companies, your account would be consolidated and show the balances of both child accounts.
