For Odoo 17 Community, the native way to edit confirmation and document templates is through Settings > Technical > Email > Templates (for email confirmations) and Settings > Technical > Reporting > Reports for PDF documents (QWeb templates).

For a more visual editing experience on Community, the most reliable options are:

• jt_qweb_editor; the one you found. It's a reasonable choice; the main concern with third-party QWeb editors is usually stability across upgrades, but for template editing it's low-risk.
• report_custom_filename + OCA's base_report_to_printer; if your concern is more about managing/customizing reports than visual editing.
• Odoo Studio; best-in-class template editor, but Enterprise only.

For Community without Studio, jt_qweb_editor is one of the few practical options. If you're comfortable with XML, editing templates directly via Technical menu is the most stable long-term approach and requires no third-party dependency.
