I have a custom binary field named spec_sheet on the stock.lot model, and the pdfs which I would like to save to that field are publically accessible at https://www.url.com/{{record.name}}.  Where {{record.name}} is a dynamic placeholder for the name field of the record currently selected.

Does anyone know the server action python code which could fetch the PDF and save it to the filestore in record.spec_sheet?

Or even better would be to have the PDF saved inside Odoo Documents, and associated to the stock.lot record so we can manage all files connected to a stock.lot record with all the other features of Odoo Documents like Sharing, Automatic Attachment to Sales Order Emails, Revision History, etc.
