Hello Odoo community.
My goal is to make two or more sellable SKUs that both deplete the same physical inventory item. Example: “iPhone 12 Screen” and “iPhone 12 Pro Screen” should pull from a single shared stock item.
Goal
Two sellable SKUs for Sales, Invoices, Website, and POS.
One stock item controlling on-hand, reordering, valuation, lots/serials, and cost of goods.
Current idea
Use Kit BoM (phantom):
Each sellable SKU is a front-facing product that explodes to 1× shared component (the real stocked product).
Inventory and valuation tracked only on the component.
Questions:
Is Kit BoM the right approach in Odoo 19?
Should alias SKUs be service or storable?
Any issues with lots/serials, returns, POS barcodes, or accounting?
Any cleaner native solution?

Main question: do those have different prices?
Yes, a customer's price will vary based on the item in question.
