i am trying to figure out how to tax by product categories.  I have between 3 and 15 categories for some states.  I am trying to calculate the tax for each state.


I just dont know how to proceed right now with the code.


Can anyone give me some helpful examples?

Hi Ataman,

Let me share a little bit what I know.

  1. Tax setups is on the Product level instead of Product Category
  2. Tax for different states can be set up with Fiscal Position. You just need to give the default tax and set the tax to be changed to what in the Fiscal Position.
    You can check Accounting > Configuration > Fiscal Positions
