We’re using Odoo POS in our shop, and for certain products we need to assign a serial number before selling them to customers.
This serial number must also be recorded and printed on the invoice for warranty purposes. How can we add a serial number to a product so that it shows up on the customer’s invoice?

Please mention the version of Odoo you are asking about.
Odoo 19.0:
Click the Serial/Lot icon below the Product:
Note: ensure you have inventory tracked by serial and have defined the serial numbers for the units you have in stock.
The Serial Number will show on the Receipt by default.
The Serial Number will show on the Invoice if you activate Display Lots & Serial Numbers on Invoices in Settings.

In the Inventory > Configuration > make the below checkbox true. Then you will be able to see the Product serial numbers on the invoice PDF Print.

I enabled the option “Display Lots & Serial Numbers on Invoices,” but they still aren’t appearing.
What might I be missing or doing incorrectly?
I’ve found a workaround: if I enter the serial number in the “Customer Note” field, it will appear on the customer’s invoice.
Is there a way to create a similar field that functions like the customer note, but is mandatory?
I want to ensure the sales staff don’t forget to fill it in when issuing an invoice.
