Hi guys,


When I try to record cash out in the POS I am getting this error that reads:

"Invalid operation

Unable to send message, please configure the sender's email address"


I have already filled in my email in both company settings and user settings and I have set notifications to be handled in Odoo and not by email. Rest of the out going and incoming server is as default.


How to solve this error?


Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

This error happens because when you record a cash-out in POS, Odoo tries to send an internal message from the related employee’s email, but the employee record linked to your POS user doesn’t have an email set. Even though you’ve added your email in User Settings and Company, Odoo also checks the Employee record. To fix it, go to Employees → Employees, open the employee linked to your POS user, and make sure the Work Email field is filled in with your email address.
