Hello,

I'm trying to install the Point of Sale module, but I keep getting the following error message:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/odoo/http.py", line 638, in _handle_exception
    return super(JsonRequest, self)._handle_exception(exception)
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/odoo/http.py", line 314, in _handle_exception
    raise exception.with_traceback(None) from new_cause
KeyError: product.template.has_configurable_attributes


Could someone help me figure out the cause?

Hello Paresh,

Thank you for taking the time to answer me. In my case, both Product Configurator and Product Variants are disabled. Moreover, I am unable to install PoS in the first place, so there is no way for me to make any product available to it at this stage.

Do you have any other ideas?

You have a couple of options:

  1. Turn off the Product Configurator (Sales > Configuration > Settings), OR

  2. Make only Products without Variants available in the PoS
