When a picking is created as a result of a sale order or purchase order being confirmed, the created pickings are automatically "reserved". In other words, I don't need to manually go find the picking and click the "Reserve" button.

However, when I go to a product and use the "Procurement Request" button, the picking that is created from that request does not get automatically reserved. I need to go find the picking and click the "Reserve" button.

I'm trying to understand what is causing this? Where in the code can I find the point that these other pickings are being automatically reserved. I've been looking through the source code but can't find it.

I'm using Odoo sass-14. Does anyone have any idea?
