To enable the "Print Label" on the Shop-Floor card, you'll need to modify or create a QWeb report template. The label can include necessary details such as product, lot/serial number, and work center. After creating or updating the template, the "Print Label" button must be added to the relevant Work Order or Manufacturing Order views. This will allow users to print labels directly from the Shop-Floor card interface to track production tasks efficiently.

the "Print Label" option for Shop-Floor cards isn't directly enabled from the settings in Odoo. It's usually done through customization of QWeb reports and adding the necessary functionality.

To enable the "Print Label" option on the Shop-Floor card in Odoo, the feature typically involves printing product labels or producing tags for items directly from the production or manufacturing orders. The steps for enabling or configuring this depend on the version of Odoo you're using and how you have set up the Manufacturing module.

Here’s a general guide on how you can enable the "Print Label" feature for the Shop-Floor card:

1. Install the Barcode or Manufacturing Labels Module

The "Print Label" feature is often tied to Odoo's Barcode module or the Manufacturing Labels module. If it's not already installed, you’ll need to install these.

  • Install Barcode Module:
    • Go to Apps → search for Barcode → click Install.
  • Manufacturing Labels:
    • Odoo has a "Manufacturing Labels" feature (for specific needs such as printing labels during production). To install it, go to Apps → search for Manufacturing Labels → click Install.

2. Configure Your Printing Templates

After installing the necessary modules, configure the printing templates. This ensures you can print the correct labels with the required information.

  1. Navigate to the Template Configuration:
    • Go to InventoryConfigurationBarcodeLabels.
    • Here, you can configure or select a label template for printing. You can create new templates as needed or customize existing ones.
  2. Check Label Settings in Manufacturing:
    • Go to ManufacturingSettingsOperationsPrint labels automatically on the shop floor (Enable this setting).
    • In some versions of Odoo, you may need to go into Settings in the Manufacturing module and enable the option to print labels automatically during production or at a specific stage.

3. Enable Shop-Floor Management Features

The Shop-Floor Management functionality (which is part of the Manufacturing module) can sometimes include options for printing production-related documents like labels.

  • Go to Manufacturing → Settings → Shop Floor and enable Shop-Floor Management.
  • This will allow you to print documents related to production and process workflows directly from the Shop-Floor.

4. Set up Shop-Floor Cards

You can configure Shop-Floor cards in Odoo. These cards may display details for a work order, and you can often include an option for printing labels from these cards.

  1. Navigate to the Production Order or Work Order:
    • Go to Manufacturing → Operations → Work Orders.
    • In the Work Order view, there should be an option to print the Shop-Floor card. If the print label feature is enabled, you should also see a "Print Label" button next to the Work Order or Production Order.
  2. Customize the Shop-Floor Card Template:
    • You may need to adjust the report template for Shop-Floor cards. This can be done in Settings → Technical → Reports.
    • Look for the Shop-Floor card report template, and ensure it includes label printing options. This might involve modifying the QWeb template used for the report to support label printing.

5. Printing the Labels

Once everything is configured, you can go to the Work Orders or Production Orders, and you should now have the option to:

  • Click "Print Label" from the Work Order or Shop-Floor card view.
  • The system will generate a label based on the product and production details, and you can send it to the printer.
