Hey folks,

I wanted to ask about setting up the different pricing for the product variants not extra price but different price.

I'll explain..

Suppose, I configured a master product "Nut". Now this product has 3 possible variant parameters like brand(Of which brand this nut is), width & length.

For an instance, Nut has 2 brands ABC & XYZ (ABC is a premium brand). Both the brands offers Nut with width(5,6,7) & height(25mm,30mm,35mm). So one of the variant will be ABC Nut 5x25mm.

Now, I need to set a specific price for this variant, not extra price because it's possible that XYZ Nut 5x25mm costs less than ABC Nut 5x25mm.

Currently, I have to set an extra price for the variant but the prices varies from the brand to brand from the width to width and also from length to length.

How can I do that? I'd appreciate your help folks.

It seems this app - https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/18.0/variant_price_system - might be helpful. It lets assign a zero price for a template product and own prices for each variant (find the section "Special case: Odoo independent variant prices")

HI Pranav,

The standard in Odoo is that the price is calculated based on the standard price with plus and minus for each attribute. It is the base concept. If you want to attribute a price for a specific variant that does not depend on the basic price of the template product, then you need to use the price list. In the price list, you select the product and you will be able to select the variant and assign a price to it.

Good luck
