I have a question regarding Reordering Rules. Specifically, I'm wondering if there's a feature in Odoo v.17 that allows date-based control of Reordering Rules (Min Quantity and Max Quantity).

Here's an example scenario: Let's say I want to implement an Reordering Rule for 10 months out of the year. However, for the remaining 2 months, I'd like to switch to a different Reordering Rule because I typically experience higher sales during this period.

Has anyone encountered a similar requirement, and if so, have you found a solution within Odoo? I'm curious to know if there's a built-in feature, a workaround, or perhaps a customization that can address this need.

Hi Emma - I don't think there is any standard way of doing this. It's probably not very difficult customization to update the reordering rules on set dates. Or there are more sophisticated solution around such as frePPLe (which integrates with Odoo).

Hello

In default, there is no way to achieve your requirements. You should go with the minor customization. You should add Dates and based on dates and periods, Logic should work for the Reordering rules.

I hope it helps.
