Hi,

I want to compare a list of customers who have brought us opportunities between 2 periods using the dashboard app.

In CRM I have a pivot with customers in the rows, and count + expected revenue as the columns.

I have inserted that into my dashboard spreadsheet. This would be "Pivot 1"

I do the same again with the same data which inserts "Pivot 2" into my spreadsheet

Now I can configure a filter for quarters and set "Pivot 1" to current period and "Pivot 2" to previous period.

Now I have 2 tables to compare, which is fine. However, if a new opportunity is created from a new customer, it does not get added to the spreadsheet. The customer appears on the pivot table linked to the table in my dashboard but it does not pull through.

Can I set this up in a better way to get the desired result?

I will expand a bit as the previous answer queries why/what i am trying to achieve.

This is the dashboard view. We have the customers that have brought us opportunities under the column with the "Pipeline" link. Count and Expected revenue of enquiries they brought to us in "This period" (Q3) compared to "Previous Period" (Q2). The table on the left compares the 2 to tell us if there is an increase or decrease in opportunities between the periods.

The problem is the Pivot table in Opportunities module will add new customers as they appear on opportunities (Below). But they will not pull through to the pivot table inserted into the dashboard spreadsheet (above). It is hard to see below but the 6th row on the pivot table has company "*** Group", but this new line does not pull through to the dashboard table (above), which was inserted before "*** Group" brought us an opportunity.

Not clear what you mean by doesn’t pull through. Seems to work on testing.

Hope you aren’t on 2 windows and need to refresh the dashboard.

Not withstanding, not sure the reason to have 2 tables and then make the comparison. It is possible to compare only 2 time periods on a pivot by filtering records like you describe.
