Greetings,

I am running an on-prem instance of Odoo 17 for the Point of Sale module. The client is very happy with the Point of Sale system and is ready to put it into production. They had one question, though. Is it possible to add a column to the Sales Details report showing the payment method for each transaction? They will run and print this report every day, but they need to know the payment method.

So far, I have made it to enabling developer mode, going to technical --> reports, and finding the sales details report. From there I am confused as to what XML code is needed to add this column.

I have been looking through the documentation and this forum before making this post. Is there some documentation or tutorials that I might have missed?

I apologize for the delay in my reply.

It doesn't look like I'm allowed to post any images.

Under the "Point of Sale" app, click the "Reporting" menu, and then click "Sales Details". That will generate a report of the shop you choose to show the transactions for the day.

The current columns in the PDF report are "Product Category", "Product", and "Quantity Total (Tax excluded)". I need to add the payment method for each transaction to the right of Quantity Total.

The payment method is shown at the bottom of this PDF report, but it is a percentage of all the transactions. They need to see the payment method for each transaction.

This is so incredibly frustrating! I started my own Odoo online trial so that I can test Odoo Studio. That is just as confusing for editing this PDF report as is looking at the raw QWeb code. What I see in video tutorials do not match what I see when I try to edit this report. Please, I only need something simple added to this Sales Details PDF report and my deadline is almost here. Is this post being ignored now since I'm a new user?

I ended up using the Odoo developer services to build a new POS Sales Details report. Now I have a new problem: where in the world are the original files installed? I was just told to "replace the old report files with the new", however I can't find them.

can you tell me in which module you want to add the column, you can go to that particular mule find the report and into reports you can specify your custom Column and all set
