Client Introduction
Yarinde is a leading supplier of plantation and accessories in the Netherlands, offering a diverse selection of over 9000 products including plants, ornamental grasses, and trees. They primarily distribute via their Shopify-based online webshop, serving both B2B and B2C customers across the Netherlands and Belgium, with plans for further expansion throughout Europe.
Problem statement
Previously, they managed operations with over 5 in-house systems, each handling different functions such as orders, purchasing, and stock keeping. However, these fragmented platforms couldn't scale with business expansion. They sought to consolidate these systems into a single middle platform.
Processes like inventory tracking and purchasing were spread across various systems, resulting in real-time inaccuracies. Additionally, they developed an in-house system for vendor data management.
Solution
When the customer approached us, we showcased Odoo's core functionalities, meeting 60% of their requirements such as stock management, accounting, and purchasing. Leveraging their clear vision and technical background, they seamlessly adopted Odoo as their ERP system. Using Alumio, we integrated Shopify with Odoo, synchronizing orders, deliveries, stock, and product details. Vendor data is managed in a separate system that updates and syncs daily with Odoo.
Additionally, Odoo connects fulfillment partners for deliveries, selecting from more than two providers based on plant type and order size. A key feature appreciated by the client is the automation of order synchronization, replenishment, and creation, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual tasks. Odoo's unified platform allows comprehensive data visibility and extensive reporting, supporting informed business decisions.
