I see in the demo site that each task has a start and end plan date. In my own database, I can set a start/end for the entire project but not for each individual task. Can anyone tell me how to turn this feature on?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Contabilidad
- Inventario
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

I am trying to see in 16 version but i not found it, but i already found it in version 15, you can install version 15 you will find it, and you should configuration Planning from: project -> configuration -> Setting ->Time Management: planning
Yes, that is selected on 16. Going back to 15 means we would also loose the new features. I believe this will become a major inconvenience for people using 16.
I have the exact same problem in 16. It only appears, once you have planned it in the Gantt view. Which is very inconvenient
After reading lots of posts, I wrote this module to fix it:

Odoo work in strange ways indeed!!!
Use at own risk...

please tell me about odoo version in your local machine?
Sure, I'm trying out the latest 16 from the repo. We are pretty keen to use project and being able to set up the start and end dates from the form view is pretty important.
To clarify, I should have said the latest from Git.
