Hi, just a question on if we are doing this correctly or if our use scenario is better handled by separating the products.

We have a product which is a 'snack bar'. The snack bar is available in different flavours. We also sell it in by the box. If I use the variants it does let me list separate quantities for the products, but they're not tied to the 'single' unit so to speak.

For example product is called 'Snack Bar'. We sell it in Raspberry and Strawberry, and in a single unit or boxes of 10.

But while they have different quantities, the box of 10 should just be a multiple of the single unit (compound product).

Snack Bar Raspberry: 100 units

Snack Bar Raspberry Box of Ten: 10 units (but this should be automatic, not a separate quantity because then inventory would be a nightmare).

We also receive them only in boxes, and we open some boxes to sell in store. I don't want us to have to do an inventory transfer every time a box is opened. Ideally it should be:

Snack Bar Raspberry: 100 units

Snack Bar Raspberry Box of Ten: 10 available

Snack Bar Strawberry: 98

Snack Bar Strawberry Box of Ten: 9 available (any amount between 90 and 99 would be 9 available boxes)

Each with a different barcode

Snack bar raspberry and strawberry are both only purchased in boxes (purchase quantity).

Apologies if my question isn't super clear I am finding it hard to word neatly.
