The German Ministry for Economy and Energy (BMWi) wants to incentivise and support SMEs to invest in digitization projects with a new funding program: Digital Jetzt. The program provides financial support to SMEs with grants for investments in digital technologies and related implementations.

How much funding will you receive?
The maximum subsidy amount:
for individual companies: 50 000 €
- for investments of companies in value chains and networks, this increases to 100 000€
The minimum amount of funding you can apply for is 17.000€.
German companies from all industries (including freelance professions)
Companies sized between 3 to 499 employees
How does it work?
The funding for 2020 has been exhausted. The registration will be reopened on the 1st of December 2020 and will then be open to all companies on an ongoing basis. The monthly available quotas will be drawn at random from January 2021 onwards. The registrations drawn by lot can prepare and submit an application.
The process is fairly easy, you only need to provide three documents:
A digitization plan (to be provided by the applicant): it should explain the investment project and the objectives to be achieved by the investment plan.
“De Minimis" declaration: The Digital Jetzt program constitutes aid under the EU rules (dealt under the “De Minimis” procedure). You will accompany your application with a declaration indicating if you’ve received other de Minimis aid during the last two and current fiscal years. You can download it here.
