In a manufacturing order when we have components with tracking on lot number it is automatic created quality checks with the check type 'Register consumption'.  As steps in the work order

You can add a component (Which is not in the BOM) in the manufacturing order.  Then the quality checks and the step for register that component is not created - even the added component also are traced with lot number.  So the operator are missing the steps to register the added component.

Any advice on how to fix this?
