How would you enable 3 separate shops in Odoo? Products, Rentals, Parts

Question

If I want to configure the shops separately - that is look, feel, checkout flow - I assume I need multiple websites?
If I have multiple shops via multiple websites can I somehow integrate the 3 into the same website?
Am I looking at this the wrong way?

Create the 3 websites - specify the domain that each has, so that when someone lands on your site, Odoo knows they came via " parts.mycompany.com" [1]  or " rentals.mycompany.com" [2]  etc.
