Hello

it happens in our system that we have a sales order with commitment date but later one we have to manually revise delivery date.

As a result the delivery date on the actual delivery not doesn't changes.

example:

1. I created SO1 (with product1 )with commitment date 25/02/2021

2. after confirming SO1, delivery is created: Wh/out/1 with expected date 25/02/2021

3. Later we reveiw SO1 and change commitment date of the product1 to 27/02/2021

4. at this point WH/OUT/1 remains same 25/02/2021 and still show delayed....instead i am looking it to be updated 27/02/2021

If you update the Delivery Date on a Sales Order, the Deadline on the Delivery Order is updated to match.

This feature was introduced at v14.

At versions prior to v14, you need to CANCEL the Sales Order, then click  SET TO QUOTATION so you can edit and confirm with the new date, which will create a new Delivery Order with the correct date.  If you are unable to cancel you need to edit the Scheduled Date on the Delivery Order to match the new date.

thanks for your reply.

what if I am using module Sale Order Line Date ( https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/12.0/sale_order_line_date/ ) in case you are familiar with it.

according to module spec date is propogated from sales to delivery but i guess it again works only after confirmation of SO.

Hi Ray Carnes,

I am testing in version 15 on odoo.sh - I can't figure out how to update the Delivery Date on the Sales Order, and if it's updated on the Purchase Order (for a MTO/Purchase directly linked) will the Receipt Date update as well ? Sorry to put this in the answer segment, I couldn't get the comment to work.
