Seems only links are accepted, can I upload a video myself attached to my eLearning study material?

I read a post said user can upload the video in Document, and make it public. However when I tried to share it, I got a link which is not a direct link to the video, and cannot be used as the link of the video in eLearning module

Hello David Montero Crespo,

The only issue with your module is that I can inspect the webpage and get the embed URL.

I checked it on your E learning plateform ;)

Hi, you can upload the video on YouTube and set the settings to "Unlisted" on your video. That way, your video is not listed on YouTube, but available in Odoo eLearning.

Regarding the Slides/eLearning module:

do you have a roadmap for future development?

Hi, still users can easily have access to the youtube link and share it freely. It is not compatible with paid private video content.
Is there any solution that does not require external development ?
I have tried with Google Drive and links but it is the same...
It looks like it could possible with a subscription to Vimeo but not all versions of Odoo support Vimeo link yet...
Thanks.

When I share the Google Drive link, I get the video right, but when switching to full screen the video is not displayed and the following error appears in the browser

A cookie associated with a cross-site resource at <URL> was set without the `SameSite` attribute. A future release of Microsoft Edge will only deliver cookies with cross-site requests if they are set with `SameSite=None` and `Secure`. You can review cookies in developer tools under Application>Storage>Cookies and see more details at <URL> and <URL>.

Having the same problem, uploading videos to Youtube or Google Drive means making it opened to public, but what if these videos are private to the employees only?

When i do this it still has the youtube share link as well as the youtube logo that can give people acess to the youtube url which then means they can share it with anyone they want, as well as download the video. Odoo needs a module or update that allows videos to be hosted and only accessed with a paywall.
