Trying to enter rolls of fabric into inventory. 1) Rolls are measured in yards. 2) Rolls are also measured as a unit. 3) Total inventory of a particular fabric should = sum of yards on each roll 4) Using v7 hosted trial.

Example: I have 3 rolls of 20 yards of RedFabric#5, 1 roll of 50 yards of RedFabric#5. Viewing inventory should show that I have 110 yards RedFabric#5 (3x20+1x50) but internally knows it is made up of multiple rolls of different yardage.

I've tried fooling with multiple units of measure (UOM).

Is what I am trying to do possible? if not, any suggestions how to handle this?

Dear Owen,

We have a solution for the same. We have developed set of custom modules to manage this as 'CatchW8', where you can manage the inventory, sales, purchase, invoicing, manufacturing etc. in dual units of measure. So in your case you can manage in units as well as rolls.

We have a solution for the same. We have developed set of custom modules to manage this as 'CatchW8', where you can manage the inventory, sales, purchase, invoicing, manufacturing etc. in dual units of measure. So in your case you can manage in units as well as rolls.
