Hi,
currently I can't find a way to schedule a production from within a SO (sales order). The date I set in requested_date does not seem to get used. I would like it to be used as a basis for the MRP date_planned, when the SO is confirmed and the production order is created.
Could anyone point me in the right direction, if this is possible out of the box or can someone give me a hint how I could accomplish this maybe with a workflow or something?

Did you try with "Make to Order" AND "Manufacture" route_ids selected for the product procurement?
In order to run the procurement either you click on Warehouse/Schedulers/Run Schedulers menu or activate the "Generate procurement in real time " option in warehouse settings.
Sounds like you need to use the Make To Order for products.
I am already using M2O but this does not solve the problem. or what do you mean?
