We want to access some part of Odoo from our desktop app developed in VB6.

I would like to know if there is any documentation show as to how we can compose XML/RPC request and sent it to Odoo server and what commands we can send to retrive particular information. We are interested in retrieving information from OpenEDUCAT modules regarding students.
