There is no hard-coded limitation on the number of articles you can have in Knowledge. I would simply respond with: "As many articles as your server can handle."

I conducted several scalability tests while implementing the new Knowledge search feature, and I was able to load 10,000 articles without noticing significant slowdowns.

If you have a large database, I don’t recommend using article items and property fields. At that point, it’s better to implement a custom model to take full advantage of Odoo’s features (computed fields, custom views, etc.). This approach will be much more flexible and scalable.
