How do close acounting monthly?

Question

I'm new for accounting, so I'm sorry if this is a basic question.
Now I'm using Odoo13.

I'm hearing about closing period accounting monthly.
What is that?, and how to do it in Odoo13?

Any help, tutorial or source to learn more about that will be very appreciated, thanks :)
