We have a product called ST35.826 -  it's a short aluminium piece (826 mm), which we cut from a longer extrusion called ST35.3600 (3600 mm). (ST35.3600 is a componant used in manufacturnig windows).

• We normally keep around 100 of the short pieces (ST35.826) in stock.
• But sometimes we use them all up — especially during busy periods.

We’ve set up ST35.826 as a “Manufactured” product with a BoM that says:

“Use 0.25 of ST35.3600 to make 1 x ST35.826.”

The Problem:

If stock of ST35.826 is zero and we need more (e.g. for a larger product that uses it), Odoo doesn’t automatically make one or deduct 0.25 from ST35.3600. It just allows ST35.826 to go negative in inventory — and nothing happens to ST35.3600.

We want it so that when ST35.826 is needed and none are in stock:

✅ It automatically creates a new one

✅ And deducts the correct amount (0.25) from ST35.3600 stock

No manual steps to produce it — just cut and go.
