Accounts -> Reporting -> Generic reports -> partners -> click on aged partner balances. This wizard contains Analysis Direction and start date fileds . Can any one provide sample doc for these two fields?

Direction "past" means from the "start date" data searched backward
Direction "future" means from the "start date" data search forward.
So "start date" is the reference point from where you can search the data backward (past) and forward(future)

Thank you Empiro Technologies, I have created invoice on 2014-Nov-19 for Rs.50 for a customer. when i select start date:2014-Dec-01 Analysis Direction:future. This amount showing in Due= -50. As per your explanation it should not show this Rs 50 in AR report. Please correct me if i am wrong.
