Hello Odoo Community,
I'm facing an issue with changing the master password for my database in Odoo Community v17. Here are the details of my setup:
- Device: MacBook Pro (M1)
- Operating System: macOS 15.0
- Odoo Version: Community v17
I've tried the regular methods to change the master password, such as editing the odoo.conf file, but it doesn't seem to be working. Here are the steps I've followed:
- Opened the odoo.conf file.
- Changed the admin_passwd value to the new password.
- Saved the file and restarted the Odoo server.
Despite these steps, I'm still unable to change the master password. The server seems to ignore the new password and continues to require the old one.
Is there something I'm missing, or is there an alternative method to change the master password in this setup? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
