Hello to all!

New Odoo Online user here. Liking the Odoo Online product thus far as I am operating a auto repair shop and I am just finishing up a website build and integrating online appointments.

However - running into an issue where clients are not receiving any notification email once the appointment is booked. 

The shop email account is receiving the notification that an appointment has been set, but when I go through the form to set an inspection appointment as if I were a customer using my personal email - I don't get any notification.

Is there something I can do to resolve this?

Great to hear that you're enjoying Odoo Online for your auto repair shop! Since you're already receiving appointment notifications on the shop email but customers aren't getting them, it's likely that Odoo’s default email configuration is missing or not properly set up for outgoing customer notifications.

However, if email notifications aren’t working as expected, an alternative solution is to send SMS reminders to customers when they book an appointment. In my setup, I’ve implemented a custom module that automatically sends SMS notifications to:

Customers (Guests) when they book an appointment

Assignees (Staff/Technicians) who handle the appointment

Managers for oversight

Additionally, the system sends reminder SMS notifications 5 minutes and 2 minutes before the appointment time, ensuring that both the customer and staff are well-prepared.

If you're open to implementing SMS notifications alongside or instead of emails, I'd be happy to guide you on how to integrate a similar solution! Let me know how you'd like to proceed.
