If I used a $0 sales order to transfer stock to another branch, what will the effect be on inventory value?

Lets say HQ sells 100kg of coffee to Branch A for $0.

This coffee originally cost $4/kg

If I did a company wide inventory valuation later on, will the coffee transferred to Branch A have a unit cost of $0, or retain the original unit cost of $4?

If the cost was reduced to $0? How do I correctly account for it? Do I have to open a manual journal entry for each item transferred?
