Hi everyone,

I'm testing Odoo studio by inserting custom fields. It happens that if I delete a field and then recreate it with new characteristics, the deleted one remains in a sort of database. Now I have a series of duplicate fields, isn't it possible to eliminate them completely?

Let me give an example:
I create a select field called "VAT number", then I realize that I need a checkbox, so I delete the select and create the new checkbox field "VAT number"

If I then have to create a rule or a related field, I find "VAT number" twice, but one of the two has already been deleted.

Thanks for your help

I'm pretty sure they do. Our database is full of duplicated fields from Studio customizations.

I would suggest you create the field from the technical settings (Settings>Technical Settings > Models), name them accordingly and select the right type.

Afterwards, you'll be able to drag them into studio like any other built-in field and change the widget type and other settings. If you remove them from your view, you'll be able to drag them back in without studio creating a new field.
