Connection test failed! Error while configuring outgoing mail server.

Question

I get the below error when testing outgoing mail server connection.
Connection test failed!
Here is what we got instead:

I've given the uname as *vivek@boscosofttech.com* and the password of it
But when i give the details as uname *vivekjustthink@gmail.com* and the password of it the test connections s

Please turn *ON*  for Less secure app access from https://myaccount.google.com/

Hi Vivek,
Please go to *Manage your Google Account* and select *Security*

*And turn on *2-Step Verification*, after that, you will get the option for *App passwords**

Now create an* App password* and use that instead of the password in the odoo email configuration settings.

I believe that it is obligatory to use a legitimate GMail account in order to use their SMTP service. If you don't want to use vivekjustthink@gmail.com , I'd suggest you create a new account such as smtp.boscosofttech@gmail.com . You can then go to the settings menu (the geery-wheelie thing in t
