how does one active and ensure the 3rd party application downloaded from odoo app store is active and working on odoo ERP

You can download and test any free app. For the paid modules, you can contact the author for demo if author agrees.
There is also an option to contact author for any issue/error/bug for the paid apps and if author does not resolve it, you can ask for refund.
hi, thank you for your post, its a free app, called POS Multi Currency, i want to install it on odoo v12, so managed to download it, just need to know how to implement it and ensure its now working and its on odoo v12
Once you download it, you will have to either add the module directly in addons directory or create your own addons directory and put that module inside and add the path in config file.
