SUA-APOPO rodent Research project
APOPO is a non-profit organisation that trains animals (HeroRATs and HeroDOGs) to detect landmines and tuberculosis using scent detection, developing and deploying this low-tech but highly effective tool across multiple countries. SeedChange
Cultivating change from the ground up.SeedChange works in partnership with farming communities in over 11 countries to strengthen seed sovereignty, support ecological farming, and deepen local control over food systems. Through initiatives like Seeds of Survival and the Bauta Family Initiative on Canadian Seed Security, farmers are building resilience by conserving biodiversity, adapting to the climate crisis, and growing strong, healthy crops. This work is grounded in trust, local knowledge, and the belief that the best solutions come from the ground up.
Across all programs, the focus is on supporting community-led change. Whether through farmer-to-farmer training, local seed networks, or initiatives like Rural Women Cultivating Change, people are organizing, advocating, and transforming their food systems. Together, they are not just growing food—they are growing justice, sustainability, and lasting resilience.
