Pascale Woodruff is a Project Manager at BHC, one of the oldest Odoo gold partners. She has four years of experience implementing Odoo projects and also has extensive experience in coordinating and delivering various IT/web projects as well as defining business requirements as a business analyst. She is also a product owner for several products developed by BHC.
In this talk, we will present the new “Itsme” module for Odoo, a secure authentication method which uses your mobile phone.
ItsmeⓇ is a digital identification service offered in Belgium and Luxembourg, allowing any citizen to be securely identified in an application using their mobile phone. As an Odoo partner, we have integrated Odoo with Itsme as a single sign-on provider (just like Google and Facebook). The module is easy to install and configure with your Itsme account.
Adding the Itsme authentication service to your Odoo database, will enable all Belgian and Luxembourg citizens to create an account in the Odoo web portal easily and securely. This method of authentication is particularly interesting for public services or national companies that wish to validate the identity citizens who create an online account.
During the talk, we will present the different services provided by Itsme (sign in, sign up, confirm, digital signature), the security aspects of the solution, some concrete application examples, and we will demonstrate how the module works.
