Helmut Stritzinger is an enthusiastic logistician and process optimizer and has dedicated himself entirely to the digitization of goods movements.
As a project manager and consultant at braintec, Helmut Stritzinger has already been able to implement challenging customer requirements in Odoo.
Helmut's passion are his 3 small children, who constantly challenge his skills as a project manager.
This talk will help logistic managers to better understand which picking strategy best suits their needs and also explains how to use the different strategies with the corresponding features in Odoo.
We approach the actual topic of picking via the routes and rules that can be set differently for each warehouse. As a further input variable, this presentation deals with the warehouse structures and how they can be mapped in Odoo.
With the different picking strategies, we come to the actual core of the presentation, where the different picking strategies with their advantages and disadvantages and of course their implementation in Odoo are discussed and shown. Using examples, wave picking, batch picking and batch with cluster are shown as the 3 main picking strategies.
The optimization of the picking routes through the warehouse aisles, the shortening of picking times and a falling picking error rate increase the efficiency of the warehouse and thus make a significant contribution to the company's success.
