DESCRIPTION FULL
Winamp Group, a publicly traded company and an iconic name in the music industry, manages five different brands across music licensing (Bridger, Jamendo Licensing), streaming (Jamendo, Hotmix), digital distribution (Winamp for creators), and its own legendary music platform (Winamp). Faced with fragmented processes and data across multiple entities, Winamp needed a unified, scalable, and modern system to support its ambitious growth and digital transformation.
In this talk, you will discover how Winamp Group leveraged Odoo not only as an ERP but as the central business engine for all its operations while enabling fully decoupled headless applications on web and mobile. This architecture allowed Winamp to centralize data, unify workflows across four companies, and provide a seamless experience to users while preserving the flexibility of a modern front-end ecosystem.
Winamp Group partnered with Sigmagency to design and implement an API-first architecture using Odoo as the backbone to manage accounting, sales, subscriptions, licensing, customer support, and content management across its brands:
Jamendo and Hotmix connected their web and mobile applications through a headless approach to Odoo for unified sales, billing, licensing, supports and customer data.
Bridger integrated directly with Odoo for automated royalty management, customer support and accounting.
Winamp utilized Odoo for subscription management, content moderation, copyright infringement, operational back-office and accounting.
By building clean modular developments and maintaining strict boundaries between business logic and UI layers, Winamp Group was able to migrate over 3,000 hours of prior developments in under 15 hours, ensuring a seamless transition while preparing for long-term scalability.
This session will showcase why using Odoo as a business engine in a headless architecture empowers ambitious SaaS and media platforms to scale, innovate, and centralize operations efficiently while avoiding the common pitfalls of complex ERP migrations. This talk demonstrates how a clean Odoo back-end can empower complex consumer platforms without being limited by native UI constraints.
