David has broad experience in the information technology sector. After studying business informatics, he worked as an IT consultant, supporting companies of various sectors with their digitalization processes.

A few years ago, he joined the Odoo family and started working as a functional and technical Odoo consultant at OBS Solutions GmbH, awarded “Best Partner Europe 2019” and one of the leading Odoo partners worldwide.

In 2021 he founded and built up SMARTBRIX, a software for the real estate industry, wholly based on Odoo.

In this talk, we will present how we transformed Odoo into software for the real estate industry. With our solution called “SMARTBRIX,” we address real estate agents, project developers, and property administrators. It is the first software worldwide that suits all these three sectors of this industry.

We identified that Odoo, with its wide range of apps, already perfectly matches most of the needs of the real estate business. In addition, Odoo’s framework allows extending the software's features for specific industries. Knowing these two strengths of Odoo, we created a state-of-the-art real estate software including the following features:

  • Management of properties with all relevant data
  • Publishing of properties on the website and real estate portals
  • Enhanced CRM system with industry-specific features like automatic expose creation and more
  • Management of rental contracts, receipts, additional costs etc.
  • Construction project management, KPI overviews, dashboards
  • Interfaces to various industry services
  • Full integration of the customer portal for interaction with customers, banks, craftsmen and other parties
