Hi,


I have this situation where I have Odoo 13 CE installed and I'm planning to do a fresh installation of Odoo 14 CE. I would like to know is it possible to move the data from 13 to 14? 


I have read on the forum about the migration process, but my situation is different because, I don't want to do a full upgrade to the database, I just want to move the data.

Hi,

I tried your suggested solution and I faced the following error No matching record found for name 'False' .

My question is do I need to manually fix the excel and then import it or there is a way from Odoo to achieve it? 

Also if I have big data, does Odoo provide tools to automate this process?.

Hello,
you can manually export the required data from the existing DB. And when you are importing to the new DB, make sure all the mandatory and required fields are filled in the excel as well. There are different videos available in YouTube as well for the reference in importing.
As far as I know, you have to create a script in case you want to migrate big data if not planning go with the excel option.

I managed to solve the error by making sure that the data is correct in the excel file.

@Balagopal R, I case I need to move data from Odoo 13 to 15. Do I need first to move the data to Odoo 14 then to Odoo 15?

Not really. You can directly migrate data from 13 to 15

Use the Odoo Default Import/Export Feature.

with Odoo13 export your files like the product, you have to move in odoo14, then on odoo14 import the same file.
