My team and I have developed our own document management module based on the odoo community and want to sell it to a company, do we violate any odoo rules? Actually, this company plans to use this module based on odoo community, but we have a discussion whether it is necessary to buy odoo enterprise for business, whether it is possible to use odoo community and whether this system should have odoo symbols (colors, logos, etc.) or can it be removed? Thank you for your reply.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Bogføring
- Lager
- PoS
- Project
- MRP

Hi,
Odoo Community is licensed under the LGPL (Lesser General Public License) v3, which means:
- You can develop and sell custom modules based on Odoo Community.
- Your module does not have to be open-source unless it modifies existing Odoo Community modules under LGPL. If your module is independent and interacts with Odoo through standard APIs, you can keep it proprietary.
- If your module modifies Odoo's LGPL-licensed code, you must provide the source code of those modifications.
