Adding a Customer Tag automatically to a Quotation/ SO (Odoo14) (and Do we need to create a quotation?)

Question

Hi - our customers have a Tag to indicate Type of client. I would like that when a quotation is started, the TAG appears on It. We use the Tag to split sales.

Another quick question - we never send a quotation to a client as we always receive POs from our customers before we enter anything - is there a reason we enter a quotation or can we just create an order?

Hi,
You can add a new field in sale order model, which brings the tags from the partner and display it in the sale order form. This will help you to identify the type of the customer. If you are using the enterprise edition, easily you can do it via odoo studio by adding a related field.

Creating quotation and order is the same, just there is a difference of clicking the confirm button, there is no option to directly create an order, you can consider the quotation as a draft state in your work
