Julien has been working as a JavaScript developer since 2019 when he joined the Odoo JS framework team. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience with the language and the then-newly introduced Web framework, Owl, where he contributed to the conversion and development of numerous components and features. In late 2023, he began developing his most notable work: an in-house client-side unit testing framework called Hoot.
Ensuring the reliability of your JavaScript code is crucial in any development environment. Hoot is a new client-side unit testing framework designed to simplify the process of writing meaningful tests. In this talk, we'll introduce the core principles of Hoot and show how to use it to develop effective unit tests that enhance your code quality and stability.
