MTEL Austria GmbH
MTEL Austria, a member of the MTEL Group and future provider of mobile, TV, and telecommunication devices in the Austrian market, is currently in the pre-launch phase. The company is setting up its operational infrastructure using Odoo ERP, leveraging solutions already in use by MTEL Germany (MTEL DE).
Although commercial operations in Austria have not yet officially begun, the technical and system groundwork is being actively prepared.
Key components of the Odoo ERP system include:
1. System Architecture
MTEL Austria uses a multi-partner environment, where Odoo acts as the backbone for accounting and inventory processes, while external systems handle retail sales, webshop transactions, and customer-facing services.
2. Custom Connectors
Odoo is integrated with:
- Retail systems (POS)
- Webshop platforms (online sales of devices and plans)
- Payment providers (automated import and reconciliation of payments)
3. Warehouse & Inventory
Management of telecom inventory (mobile phones, SIMs, accessories) across warehouses, with synchronization to external sales and fulfillment channels.
4. Accounting Enhancements
Odoo’s accounting module was customized to handle telecom-specific needs such as:
- Automated reconciliation from payment gateway imports
- Integration with telecom-specific billing flows
- Multicurrency and tax compliance aligned with Austrian regulations
- Preparation for SEPA and cross-border financial workflows
5. Scalability and Future Plans
The system is currently operating on Odoo v15, with a planned upgrade to v18 to support expanded automation, scalability, and compliance needs ahead of MTEL Austria’s commercial launch.
