In line with Turkey’s 2023 targets, the foundation of the Northern Aegean Motorway—significantly reducing the travel distance to the region’s key maritime trade, industrial, and tourism hubs—was laid on April 5, 2017. The motorway was opened to traffic as a Controlled Access Highway on October 30, 2019, at 00:01.Financed under the leadership of Turkey's leading institutions, the Northern Aegean Motorway provides service along a total of 96 km, comprising 56 km of motorway and 40 km of connecting roads.
To ensure the safety of traffic and motorway users, the Northern Aegean Motorway is equipped with Intelligent Transportation Systems technology. Through this system, a total of 200 cameras, 26 variable message signs, 40 variable traffic signs, 21 traffic counting sensors, and Scada tunnel/motorway safety system data are monitored from a single control center, enabling rapid response to emergencies.
The Northern Aegean Motorway offers uninterrupted 24/7 service through 7 stations equipped with the most modern technology, providing 32 exits and 24 entry facilities.

İYS SERVICES
Commercial electronic messages are messages sent for commercial purposes by means of telephone, call center, automatic call machine, smart voice recorder system, electronic mail and short messages. Real or legal persons who send commercial electronic messages are defined as service providers in accordance with the legislation.
The Message Management System (IMS) is a national database where service providers can store and manage different types of message permissions such as call, message and e-mail, and view and remove permissions of citizens.
IMS services are designed for citizens and service providers. Citizens will be able to see and change their permissions from the İYS website, mobile application and call center.
For service providers, user interfaces and remote access data synchronization services are provided on the CMS website to enable recipients with commercial message approval and merchants to transfer their message addresses to the IYS database and keep them updated.
The fact that the permits are kept up-to-date at a single point in the IYS database provides a great opportunity for the public to fulfill its supervision task quickly and completely.
