ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES!

People seem to freak out at the mere mention of them.

Are they legal? How can I prove who signed it? How can I prove they are authentic and legally binding? At Odoo, we receive these questions quite regularly and no matter what we answer, people never seem to trust us.

This lightning talk will give an overview of what exactly  is an electronic signature, how it differs from classical ones and how legal they are in the US and the European Union. We will then have a look at how Odoo handles electronic signatures and how you should communicate about them as a partner or as a user of the eSign application.Attendance of this talk is compulsory for all Odoo partners and will be recorded for all eternity by passing a sheet of paper around where each attendant will put their name and a scribble using legally approved pens to prove in front an officially appointed trainer that they were actually there.
