Médecins Sans Frontières, also known as Doctors Without Borders, is an international, independent medical humanitarian organization of French origin, renowned for its projects in conflict zones and in countries affected by endemic diseases. MSFI provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare, with teams comprising tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic, and administrative staff, most of whom are hired locally. In Lebanon, MSFI faced accounting hurdles typical for NGOs, which hindered their efficiency. Azkatech tackled these challenges through the Lebanese Accounting module by leveraging Odoo’s user-friendly interface and automation features to minimize manual data entry, saving valuable staff time and resources. The system tracked grants, categorized expenses by project, and generated reports for donors, ensuring transparency and simplifying compliance. Additionally, it supported multi-currency accounting, streamlining financial management for NGOs receiving funds from various sources, and integrated donor information with accounting data, facilitating targeted communication and improving donor relations. This comprehensive solution provided MSFI with the tools necessary to enhance operational efficiency and maintain their focus on delivering critical medical aid.
