The Prep Cook/Dishwasher will assist the catering team for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, and special/catered events. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Odoo may identify additional duties of the position.
Location: 103 Horne Ave, San Francisco, CA 94124 (Note: online applications accepted only.)
Schedule: Full-time schedule. Monday through Friday, ~7:30 am - 4:00 pm. More details upon interview.
Requirement: At least 6 months of dishwashing experience preferred. Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
Work Authorization: Must complete U.S. Federal I-9 form with appropriate identification.
Pay Rate: $21.00+ per hour.
Responsibilities
- Complete all tasks on the prep list provided by the Head Chef or kitchen manager in order.
- Label, stock, and organize ingredients on accessible shelves.
- Wash, chop, and sort ingredients (fruits, vegetables, meats) as required.
- Measure seasonings and cooking ingredients accurately.
- Start preliminary cooking tasks, including parboiling, reducing sauces, and preparing dish components.
- Operate and maintain the dish machine by loading, running, unloading, and ensuring cleanliness; report any functional issues immediately.
- Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness to ensure a safe environment for all employees and guests.
- Follow daily Workplace Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs.
- Clock in and out for workdays and breaks as scheduled.
- Apply food preparation procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations to ensure high-quality food service.
- Report ingredient discrepancies, equipment issues, or other concerns to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Must Have
- At least 6 months of dishwashing experience preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License and reliable transportation; the role requires approximately 10 minutes of travel per day.
- Conversational English proficiency required.
- Ability to safely operate large-volume culinary equipment, including slicers, mixers, food processors, blenders, and choppers.
- Capable of working in a standing position for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Physical ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Use team lifts, transportation carts, and other assistance methods when handling heavy loads.
- Adhere to the dress code, arriving properly dressed for each shift.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods.

The pay rate for this role starts at $21.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, training, and business needs.
