I'm considering using Odoo IoT in my workflow, but before I commit to the price of the hardware and the ongoing cost of subscription, I'm wanting to confirm whether I'm able to use it in my specific workflow, as follows...

I've designed a custom module in Odoo Studio, in which I want to capture weights and images. What I'd like to do is be able to connect a camera and scale to an IoT box and directly capture them in the relevant fields in my model; but I can't seem to find much online around using IoT outside of the manufacturing, Quality and POS apps.

Can anyone shed any light on this, has anyone successfully used Odoo IoT connected devices in custom modules?
